Carl A. “Trey” Woods

Trey is a partner at Didriksen, Saucier, Woods and Pichon. Trey graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration and minored in Economic and Political Science from Millsaps College Jackson, Mississippi in 2007 and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, Louisiana in 2010. Simultaneously in 2010, Trey also received his Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Business.

Trey is a civil litigation trial attorney and has a wealth of legal experience managing all aspects of a client’s case from the initial interview through trial and is dedicated to understanding his client’s goals to provide the finest legal service.  Trey manages the firm’s workers’ compensation department. Trey represents the firm’s clients in personal injury, 18-wheeler collisions, product defects, subrogation, class actions, medical malpractice, international and domestic insurance disputes, first and third-party property claims, environmental torts, construction and design defects along with state and federal appellate litigation. He also works with local small businesses and non-profit organizations to create foundation documents and bylaws along with providing counsel on board and bylaw compliance. Trey has served as a first chair attorney in multiple trials with a focus on complex federal litigation and complex multi-party litigation.

For two years, Trey worked as a attorney on the BP MDL under the co-liaison counsel. He assisted the trial team creating trial exhibits, evidence litigation packets, prepping expert witnesses, participating in depositions and became the point person for process safety evidence and research, all while extensively participating in one of the largest document review projects ever performed. Outside of work, Trey spends his time serving as an executive board of director for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Louisiana and cultivates a garden of rare superhot pepper plants with his wife, son and two corgis.
