Jeremy J. Pichon
Jeremy became a partner at Didriksen, Saucier, Woods and Pichon in 2015. Jeremy obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2008. In 2010, Jeremy completed the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, Charlottesville, Virginia in 2010. He attended Loyola University, New Orleans and obtained his degree in Sociology with a minor in business in 2004.
Jeremy is an experienced trial lawyer who concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, business litigation, and complex trial litigation. He specializes in international and domestic insurance disputes, asbestos exposure litigation, construction defects litigation, product and premises liability litigation. His diverse background in law, finance, and business enables Jeremy to provide high quality integrated legal services across practice areas. Jeremy has successfully litigated all types of cases before state, federal, and military courts. In addition, Jeremy has successfully represented hundreds of domestic and international clients regarding legal disputes which are resolved through a lawsuit, mediation or negotiated settlement.
Prior to becoming a law partner with Didriksen, Saucier, Woods and Pichon, Jeremy was the sole owner of Pichon Law Firm, L.L.C. Additionally, Jeremy has worked with other law firms and government agencies including but not limited to the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General where he worked on major civil and criminal litigation. As such, Jeremy has developed experience in a broad range of civil and criminal matters including real estate law, family law, and criminal law. He also has experience in the writing of appellate briefs. Jeremy has been involved in several high-profile class action trials.
Jeremy was invited by the The National Trial Lawyers organization to be recognized as one of 2017 Top 40 under 40 trial attorneys. The National Trial Lawyer is a professional organization composed of the top trial lawyers from each state or region who are under the age of 40. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who demonstrate superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile measured by objective and uniformly applied standards in compliance with the state bar and national Rule 4-7. Invitees must exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young lawyer under the age of 40. Selection is based on a thorough multi-phase objective process which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research.
In 2003, Jeremy was deployed with the 469th Finance Group in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and served overseas for one full year. He has over 18 years of military service and holds the rank of Captain in the Louisiana National Guard. In his role as a judge advocate or military lawyer, Jeremy has served as both Trial Counsel and Defense counsel before general and special courts-martial. In his role as Trial Counsel, Jeremy performed the first Article 32 hearing held in the Louisiana National Guard. Jeremy made history again when, in his role as Defense Counsel, successfully defended a soldier before the first military panel (jury) special court-martial held in Louisiana National Guard history. In addition to many military awards and accolades, Jeremy was awarded The Army Commendation Medal for his role in assisting the commander, staff, and soldiers of the 1-244th Assault Helicopter Brigade with legal issues related the March 2015 UH-60 helicopter accident investigation.
